Consult

Meet Your Designer

Your journey begins with a one-to-one consultation. This is an opportunity to meet me, explore a portfolio of my previous work, and start shaping ideas for your garden.

I’ll take the time to understand your vision, how you want to use the space, and the budget you’re working with. Whether you’re considering a full garden transformation, a front or rear garden redesign or simply a planting refresh, I’ll guide you through the options available.

You’ll also gain a clear understanding of how I work, what the process involves, and what you can expect at each stage — including timelines, communication and our terms of service.

Creating Your Brief

Following our initial meeting, your ideas and requirements will be carefully developed into a clear, written design brief. This ensures I’ve captured your vision accurately and gives you the chance to refine or expand on your thoughts.

You’re encouraged to share inspiration — from magazine cuttings to Pinterest boards or images you love. These references help shape the creative direction and ensure the final design reflects your personal style.

As the design develops, we’ll revisit and refine these ideas together, keeping everything aligned with your goals.

Creating a beautiful garden is just the beginning. To protect your investment and ensure your garden continues to thrive, we offer a bespoke, professional maintenance service tailored to your needs.

From seasonal care to year-round maintenance, we’ll help your garden mature and flourish over time.

We also collaborate with a trusted network of skilled professionals — including landscapers, arboriculturists, fencing specialists and more — all carefully selected for their quality workmanship and reliability. This ensures every aspect of your garden is delivered and maintained to the highest standard.

Design

Site survey and analysis

Preparation of a scaled 'baseplan' of your outdoor space - a survey is undertaken prior to design work and a photographic record of your site.

I examine the detailed characteristics of your gardening understand your garden in more depth by looking at different views, identifying eyesores, soil type(s) and particular aspects.

Garden Masterplan

I share with you an outline design that meets the agreed brief

and amend it to ensure the garden is how you want it. The design drawings are then printed to scale and presented with any relevant accompanying information.

Planting Design

We discuss different planting styles to get the effects you want.

I then present planting design in a format you can work with showing latin or common names and visuals.

Prepare planting design plan options

I discuss with you further options available to support your planting design

Project Management

Manage the implementation of design and planting scheme from concept to completion
